What other factors can affect the project cost?
Exceptionally complex stored procedures, unique system features and application level constraints will add time to the migration process. We evaluate such factors during the initial sales discovery process.
Is my data safe?
We have built our process so that all translation, testing, and data migration happens within a VM in your environment. We maintain strict separation between customer data repositories and practice strict security protocols.
Which databases does Albatross support?
We publicly offer a SQL Server to PostgreSQL migration tool. However, our internal tools are not system bound and connectors currently exist for PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, and Snowflake. We have the ability to develop new connectors, as well.
What level of involvement is required from my side?
Client involvement is needed for a successful migration project. We will need your input to find objects that don't need to be migrated, define tests to ensure DB objects are working as intended, and you will have to alter and test your application once we deliver a working database.
